I took pictures of a black rhino mother and her calf at Chester Zoo during a visit with my daughter in 2018. Loving how they cuddled up together, I expressed them in warm colours. Choosing to portray them from behind as if they've turned their backs on us, reflects their dire situation in the wild.

Currently working from my home studio, I greatly enjoy exploring different types of media, patterns and textures and continually strive to evolve my style. My subjects are varied, with most of my inspiration drawn directly from nature and immediate surroundings. The vibrant use of colour is essential in all of my work helping to create a happy and positive feeling.
