Tigre du Bengale

29.7 x 42 cm

Unframed/unmounted. Signed

The Bengal Tiger is an endangered animal, inhabiting parts of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Tibet and Burma. It has inspired me because it is an animal that I have very rarely realized. And the challenge was to bring out its tricolour coat through patterns, not colours.

Self-taught artist, who mainly uses paper art. My techniques are paper cut-outs, paper pellets and occasionally dry watercolour. All my works have a similarity: the patterns which aim to represent the different textures (like hair, skin, tooth enamel, hair...).
