This is the lonesome Blue Whale. I drew this 4 weeks ago, just days after losing my precious mother to Covid 19. Having no support from family sure to isolating, I turned to art to escape from my grief. I longed to be far away, enveloped by the muted sounds and cool blues of the ocean. I usually draw furred animals but just felt compelled to draw this whale, alone and diving down deep into the dark waters. My Mum would have wanted me to do something good with this piece so I hope it raises funds to support wildlife protection.

An aspiring wildlife and pet portrait artist living in Derbyshire. I started drawing 18 months ago and love the medium of coloured pencils for the detail and vibrancy that can be achieved. I would love to use my creativity to support animal and conservation charities and I hope to inspire and mentor other artists in the future. Art is my escape and has helped through the most difficult times in my life.
