Cwm Idwal

29.7 x 42 cm

Unframed/unmounted. Signed

This watercolour painting was inspired by Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales. The lake was named after Prince Idwal (12c) ho was frond in it . Legend says that the lake’s resident birds fled on that day and no bird has been seen flying over it since.

I am a self taught artist living in Usk ,Monmouthshire ,South Wales .I am passionate about the natural world which is reflects in my paintings. I have only lately rekindled my love of art since retiring from a long career as a Registered Nurse. My work includes watercolours and acrylics . I enjoy the unpredictable nature of watercolour and the mark making and textures of acrylics.
